My
name is Abby Hoffman and I began working with clay in the
mid-1970’s. I fell in love with tiles in the last
ten years after studying at the Moravian Pottery and Tile
works, Parsons School of Design, in Samos, Greece and through
the workshops and programs of the Tile Heritage Foundation.
I studied classic mosaic technique in Ravenna, Italy.
In 2002 I was commissioned to provide tiles for “Uncommon Clay” an
exhibit of New Jersey’s Terra Cotta industry.
There are a great many ways to give
back. I am committed to using my energy and hands to give
back to a world in need of service and compassion. Ten percent
of sales go to non-profit service organizations to benefit
humanity, animals, and the environment.
